ALPR Vue gives you full control over how plates are detected, how the interface looks, and what language it uses. All settings live in a single panel that you open directly from the app header, and every change you make is saved automatically — no save button needed.

Opening settings

Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the app header to open the settings panel. The panel slides up from the bottom of the screen and stays open until you dismiss it.

Settings categories

The settings panel covers three areas:

Detection

Confidence threshold, confirmation timing, continuous mode, duplicate filtering, and audio/haptic feedback.

Appearance

Switch between light, dark, and system theme modes.

Language

Choose English, Spanish, or automatic detection from your browser.

Settings persistence

Every time you change a setting, ALPR Vue saves it automatically to your browser’s localStorage under the key alpr-settings. Your preferences survive page reloads and browser restarts without any extra steps on your part.
Settings are stored locally in your browser. If you clear your browser’s site data or use private/incognito mode with strict storage settings, all settings will reset to their defaults.

Resetting settings

You can reset any individual setting back to its default using the reset button shown next to that setting in the panel. To restore every setting at once, tap Reset all at the bottom of the settings panel.
